Welcome to Dominica
We are the Nature Island of the Caribbean
Dominica is a small, forested island in the Eastern Caribbean, known for its UNESCO-protected interior, the world's second-largest hot lake, year-round sperm whales, the Caribbean's last Indigenous reserve, and its longest marked hiking trail. It's not the resort Caribbean. it's wilder, greener, and more real.

Why Dominica
A short list of what makes the island distinctive in the Caribbean:
- The Boiling Lake.
- The world's second-largest hot lake, reachable only on foot through a working sulphur field nicknamed the Valley of Desolation.
- Resident sperm whales.
- One of the only places in the world where these animals live year-round in coastal waters.
- The Waitukubuli National Trail.
- 184 km of signposted hiking from Scotts Head in the south to Cabrits in the north, the longest in the Caribbean.
- Underwater volcanic vents.
- Champagne Reef and Bubbles Beach are unique snorkel sites where bubbles rise through warm water against living reef.
- The Kalinago Territory.
- A 3,700-acre reserve home to roughly 3,000 Kalinago people, the only continuous Indigenous Caribbean community.
- A genuine rainforest interior.
- Two-thirds forested, three-quarters mountainous, with rivers, waterfalls and crater lakes around every bend.
